We are thrilled to announce that Alice Timson, Head of Commercial at Realistic Games, won the Young Leader of the Year award at Women in Gaming Diversity Awards!
The WIG Diversity Awards stand as the epitome of prestige and admiration within the gaming industry. This event aims to honour exceptional individuals and organisations for their unwavering commitment to enhancing workplace diversity, equity, and inclusion.
WiG Diversity Ceremony
The ceremony took place at The Savoy Hotel in London on the 8th of June 2023. Amazing game studios, large operators and distinguished female leaders were nominated across different awards.
WIG Diversity Awards launched back in 2010 and today has 30 different categories that are divided between operators and providers. These include everything from Company of the Year and Marketing Campaign of the Year, to Star of the Future and Young Leader of the Year – the latter won by the spectacular Alice Timson.
“I felt incredibly fortunate to spend an evening with so many talented and brilliant women in the iGaming industry,” says Alice. “After having the pleasure of attending the Betsson Diversity and Inclusion conference earlier in the day, I learned that the number of women in iGaming is declining and so the importance of raising women’s profiles in our sector and celebrating our network is more important than ever.”
Leading the Way
Alice joined Realistic Games in April 2022 as Head of Commercial, bringing with her tangible experience in integrations and operations management. She also brought with her global iGaming landscape knowledge and a healthy network of commercial relationships within the industry.
She has prioritised Realistic’s evolution of technology needs, new product features, customer-specific platform updates and back-office improvements. Additionally, she worked on negotiating key contracts with new platforms such as Superbet. She also oversaw the certification process to launch in Romania.
“It felt incredibly special to be there as a nominee and to go on to take home the award for Young Leader of the Year was an honour and a credit to my wonderful team and all of the women that have influenced me throughout my career,” Alice says.
